Carrier Wave (aka me) had one one of these disrespected little brothers to the DX7 back in 1990. There was never enough time to delve deep into programming it, no wonder, as Yamaha's FM programming language just confused me as a newbie to synthesizers. At the time I did not even know what subtractive synthesis was. I just listened to a demo I made that featured the DX9 and the Alesis HR16. I was so high tech :) Where are you now DX9?
I have to admit watching her jam the HR16 with connectors is kind of a turn on. What's next, Red lipstick pads? Not to be confused with this bright Red HR16. What a big knob it has - that's what she said.
